Danny And The Champions Of The World – Brilliant Light

Frontman Danny erlaubte sich und der Band in der Schaffungsphase ihres mittlerweile sechsten Albums den absoluten Freiraum, kreativ zusammen zu arbeiten, zu entdecken und zu experimentieren. Die Bandmitglieder trafen sich einmal im Monat im Studio und nahmen einfach auf, was sie erlebt hatten oder was sie grade bewegte - ohne irgendwelche Korrekturen und Anmerkungen. Diese Aufnahmen legten sie dann metaphorisch in eine Schachtel und ließen sie ruhen. Aus diesem schöpferischen Prozess entwickelte sich mit der Zeit das mitunter beste Album der Band. Für Danny ist "Brilliant Light" "a bit like taking a peek into somebody's house, there's great stuff that immediately grabs your attention and then there's other stuff and you start out thinking it might be a bit mundane, but as the whole picture takes shape it proves to be incredibly beautiful".
