Im letzten Jahr bezeugte Trentemøller's drittes Album 'Lost' eine deutliche Weiterentwicklung seines musikalischen Spektrums. Nun folgt mit 'Lost Reworks' eine Sammlung ausserordentlicher Re-Interpretationen! Mit Gastauftritten von Low, Jana Hunter/Lower Dens, Marie Fisker, Johnny Pierce/The Drums, Ghost Society, Kazu/Blonde Redhead und Sue Wagner/Raveonettes schaffte es das letztjährige Album 'Lost' sogar in die deutschen Charts und auch bei den Kritikern gab es durchweg außerordentlich positive Resonanz. Linkin Park waren nie weg und doch klingt „The Hunting Party“ im ersten Moment wie das heiß ersehnte Comeback Album einer lange vermissten Band. Der Kreis schließt sich für Linkin Park. Nach all den Experimenten der Vergangenheit kehren die Jungs zum Alternative Rock ihrer Anfangstage zurück. Sie lassen Songwriter Strukturen hinter sich, verlassen elektronische Pfade und ordnen den Einfluss des Hip Hops verzerrten Gitarren unter. „The Hunting Party“ kracht entsprechend und lebt von tausend und mehr Gitarren, die neben und übereinander alles kurz und klein schlagen. Wer jetzt mit einem wütenden Album rechnet irrt, denn Linkin Park wären nicht Linkin Park würden sie nicht poppigen Strukturen; und vor allem Refrains genügend Raum lassen um weiterhin als Hauptact von Festivals die Massen zu begeistern.
